rava idli
material:
• Rava (semolina) - 200 grams or 1 1/2 cups
• Curd - 300 grams or 1 1/2 cups
• Water — 50 grams or 1/4 cup
• Salt - to taste or 3/4 tsp
• Eno salt - tsp
• Oil - 1 tbsp (for greasing the idli stand)
process:
• First of all, fat the curd. Now take semolina in a vessel and add curd to it and mix it well.
• Add water and salt to it and beat it. Now keep the mixture for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes add soda to the mixture and mix it well.
• The mixture should not be too thick and too thin.
• Put 2 small glasses of water in the cooker and put it on the gas, let the water heat up. Grease the idli stand with some oil. With the help of a spoon, fill the mixture in each of the idli bowls. Makes 12 or 18 idlis at a time. It depends on the size of the idli stand.
• Deposit the idli stand and put it in the cooker and put the lid but remove the whistle from the lid.
• Idli gets cooked in 8 or 10 minutes.
• Open the lid of the cooker (to see that the idli is done by inserting a knife inside the idli and see if the mixture does not stick to it, then the idli is done) Remove the idli stand from the cooker, after cooling, with the help of a knife, remove the idli from the stand. Take it out and keep it in a plate.
