Kanchipuram Idli Recipe

 Kanchipuram Idli

 material:

 • Urad dal - 1/4 cup

 • Rice - 1/2 cup

 • Chana dal - 1/4 tsp

 • Curd - 1/8 cup

 • Cashew - 100 grams

 • Green chili - 2

 • Coconut - 1/2 cup

 • Ginger - 1/4 tsp

 • Chili powder - 1/2 tsp

 • salt to taste

 • Curry leaves - few

 • Oil - 3 tbsp

 • Ghee - 1 tsp


 process:

 • Wash and soak urad dal and rice in water for 4 hours.


 • Now soak the chana dal separately in water.


 • Then take out the urad dal and rice from the water and grind them in a mixer.


 • Now keep them together in a warm place for about 8 hours so that yeast can form in it.


 • Now mix curd, cashew nuts, green chilies, grated kernels, ginger, chili powder, curry leaves, ghee, salt and soaked chana dal in this mixture.


 • Now put ghee in the idli mold and fill this idli mixture in it.


 • Cook the idlis in steam for 10 to 12 minutes and then serve.
